The goal for the app was to provide a complete mobile guide for their patients care. This would enable patients to receive care from their providers through NYP OnDemand Telehealth system, learn about their care, and provide quick access to the hospitals tools and resources.
RESEARCH & DISCOVERY
I began by conducting a series of stakeholder interviews, a series of competitive analysis, and initial user flow diagrams in order to create appropriate use cases.
Once these use cases were fleshed out, reviewed, and approved by the appropriate decision makers, I felt confident in helping to establish a set of business requirements with the engineering team. After the business requirements were approved, I was able to move on to the sitemap, wires, concepts, design templates, and a full design system.
BUILDING A DESIGN SYSTEM
Scaling the app was the first priority for the Innovations team and I wanted to ensure they had the necessary documentation and resources they would need after completion of the project. I created the following brand system which featured font styles, color palette, iconography and an accompanying sketch library.
