BAHA MAR
Baha Mar is a $3.5 billion resort located on the pristine white beaches and crystal clear turquoise waters of the Bahamas. I worked with the team at Fantasy to help fine-tune and streamline the hotel's booking flow process as well as creating a unique timeline-based interactive experience to engage and immerse visitors at the onset.
After the initial discovery phase, we designed a few interactive explorations and presented them as high fidelity wires so we can fine-tune as we went along. Early definition was collaboratively established via ux team members and designers, which were then translated into fully designed compositions.
INITIAL TIMELINE EXPLORATION
With the challenge of engaging prospective visitors without bombarding them with content, we began our dialogue by prompting users to interact with the various events, restaurants, and attractions available within an interactive timeline on the bottom of the screen.
Users can add and/or remove items from their personal timelines which acts as a wishlist for the events they'd like to add during their stay. Streamlining the overall flow and ensuring that the process was not a barrier to customers was also an important aspect of the UX process.
MODIFIED DESIGN
The hero area was revised to reflect the airier, more open feel Baha Mar established with their new launch campaign and had a similar structure from the initial designs. The timeline evolved to appear more minimalistic and less content heavy.
FINAL ITERATION
With the challenge of engaging prospective visitors without bombarding them with content, we began our dialogue by prompting users to interact with the various events, restaurants, and attractions available within an interactive timeline on the bottom of the screen.
A key objective was adhering to the concept of a "build your vacation" as the user goes through the site. We established a clean, modern, and cohesive design that included subtle iconography and bold imagery to allow users to browse and scan events, attractions, and restaurants at a glance. We also designed a global "add to timeline" icon to help users bookmark and save their favorite events.
